Domestic Short Hair - Black and white - Cotinga - Medium - Adult
Cotinga is a purring machine, an affectionate girl who we think is about 5 years old. She turned up WAAAAAYYYY out in the middle of nowhere, and the person whose house she went to tried to find her owner, then tried to keep her when no owner turned up, but the other cat in the home did not want to welcome Cotinga, so here she is at the shelter.
Cotinga has been pretty tolerant of other cats at the shelter, and eagerly runs to greet each volunteer as they arrive. She is a confident girl who should fit in pretty easily with just about any family, as an indoor or indoor-outdoor cat. She is too people-oriented to make a good outdoor-only kitty, though.
Fair warning: Cotinga may have a little bit of a catnip "problem" as you can see in some of her first photos above. The good news is, she is a happy 'nip addict, and never turns cranky when she's indulged a bit too much.
All cats will arrive spayed/neutered, wormed, microchipped and fully vaccinated. Adoption fee for Cotinga is suggested minimum $20 (more gratefully accepted). All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to adjust to each other. Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you!
